The Metuchen Town Plaza is located in the heart of downtown Metuchen at the corner of New and Pearl Streets.

It is the centerpiece of an award-winning mixed-use development and delivers on Metuchen’s long-standing goal of creating a “public square” or gathering place for everyday and special events.  The Plaza was constructed by the builders of Woodmont Metro at Metuchen Station and was made possible through an open space grant from the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders. Metuchen is fortunate to be one of the only municipalities in the county with a formal town plaza as part of its community.

The plaza is almost a half-acre of community space owned by the Borough of Metuchen and will be used throughout the year for casual gathering as well as special events including the Metuchen Farmer’s Markets, Movie Nights, Parades, Downtown events and more.

The Metuchen Town Plaza is owned by the Borough of Metuchen, please contact the Borough of Metuchen with questions and concerns.
